Meet the Board of Directors

Matt Carpenter
In June 2010, my wife (Kim), my two sons (Preston, 8, and Owen, 4), and I moved to Fall Creek. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Agricultural Engineering, and I am now a practicing Civil Engineer. I am a partner in my engineering firm, and my practice focuses on Land Development and Special Utility Districts.

I have a strong understanding of how a vacant tract of land is developed into a Master Planned Community, and also how Special Utility Districts (similar to HCWCID 96 and HCMUD 49) operate. In addition to understanding how a community is built, I also have a good understanding of the procurement process for consultants and contractors. I have working relationships with the consultants that manage the two districts that encompass Fall Creek and believe that I can help the HOA communicate and work with the two Districts.

Jennifer Grillo
Vice President
My husband and I have lived in Fall Creek for 6 years. I am an attorney, but my primary focus has been raising our two daughters that go to Fall Creek Elementary. I received my B.A. in Government from the University of Texas and my Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law. Prior to becoming a medical malpractice defense attorney, I worked for the United States House of Representatives in the Office of the Majority Whip and Tom DeLay’s Congressional Office.

I am professional and very personable. My strengths include strong analytical and problem-solving skills. I can be pragmatic or think outside the box depending upon the circumstances. I am extremely organized (in my professional life ☺) and detail oriented, yet I am able to maintain sight of the overall picture and the ultimate goals to be accomplished. As an attorney, I am able to look at a situation from all perspectives and analyze the success or failure of a proposal including any unintended consequences. I have been very involved in Fall Creek and have planned and/or participated in many of the community events.

Jonathan Jones
I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. I joined the Navy when I turned eighteen and served for 2 years onboard the aircraft carrier USS Kittyhawk. Upon receiving an Honorable Discharge, I returned to Colorado to attend college where I received my Chemical Engineering degree from the Colorado School of Mines. I later received an MBA from the University of Colorado. I currently work as a manager for a major corporation in the energy business. I have 17 years of professional experience and am a licensed engineer in two states.

I’ve been married for 14 years to my beautiful wife who is a native of Texas, and we have 3 wonderful daughters who are ages 6, 9, and 10. We have been living in Fall Creek since 2007.

I believe Fall Creek has the potential to be the best neighborhood in Houston and it’s a privilege to serve as a board member. However, it will take more than just the efforts of 5 board members to get us there–it will take the efforts of a community of volunteers. Running a neighborhood is challenging; there is a large amount of work required behind the scenes. We need people to partner together and support the great work that is being completed to move us forward.

Stephen Kradjian
I’ve lived in Houston for over twenty years and resided in Fall Creek since 2009 with my wife and two children. I earned an MBA in Finance from Rice University and have over 30 years’ experience in commercial real estate. I currently oversee the Asset Management group at Boxer Property, and have also served on the home owners association at the Willow Meadows subdivision in Houston. We enjoy traveling, sports and cooking.

Thomas Jackson
Assistant Treasurer/Secretary

In 2008 Kim and I had a new home built in Fall Creek and we moved in that November. We choose Fall Creek for its location, being family oriented and the overall beauty of the development.

I have been working in the Oil & Gas industry for the past 44 years with the last 25 years at Bechtel, Oil & Gas Division here in Houston. My occupation with Bechtel is managing Control Systems engineering and design. I have a BS in Electrical Engineering and my work has taken me across the globe for engineering, design, construction and startup.

One of my assignments has been the Control Systems Global Chief. My experience in managing large teams in Houston and oversite of other offices such as London, Calgary, New Delhi and Shanghai gives me experience in dealing with diverse issues.

For the community in Fall Creek I have been involved with the issues concerning P-133, the perennial waterway that runs through Fall Creek on the west side of the development. I have engaged the County Commissioner’s Court, Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD), Commissioner Jack Cagle, Water Control and Improvement District (WCID) 96 and Congressman Gene Green in encouraging their help to get repairs started sooner than later.
